Type Dynamics is administered online through the Core Factors Pro Account. Practitioners create projects, add participants, and send secure links. Participants complete the assessment online, and both Participant and Practitioner Reports are generated automatically and available electronically.
Type Dynamics assessment credits are available on a per-use basis through the Core Factors Pro Account. Current pricing is displayed on the product pricing page. The assessment produces a 13-page Participant Report introducing type through cognitive processes.
Professional administration requires one of three qualification paths: completion of relevant university coursework in psychological or educational tests and measures (U.S. Level B), license or certification from a board requiring appropriate training in ethical test use, or completion of the Core Factors qualifying program.
Required coursework includes in-depth video lessons, the Core Factors Type Discovery assessment manual (which provides the foundational psychometric information), and a competency assessment. Upon completion, you become an authorized user and gain access to the assessment within your Pro Account.
A Pro Account provides access to assessments developed by experts, experience surveys, a project-based administration system, consignment links for easy participant access, on-screen and PDF reporting, and the ability to customize messaging. The Pro Account is free to apply for.
Type Dynamics provides a 13-page Participant Report that introduces psychological type through the eight cognitive processes with reported scores and type description, plus a Practitioner Report containing detailed numeric scores for the dichotomy scales and 8-Process Scores for professional interpretation.
The Practitioner Report contains numeric scores and labels designed for professional interpretation and should not be shared with respondents without extensive explanation. It enables practitioners to enhance feedback sessions beyond standard 16-type interpretation using the cognitive process information.
Participants can access their results through the Participant Hub, providing an on-screen experience of their report that supports ongoing reflection. The detailed Participant Report can also be downloaded as a PDF for reference and sharing with practitioners.
Type Dynamics supports both individual and team applications. For individuals, it enables deep coaching conversations about cognitive process patterns. For teams, understanding how different processes influence group dynamics provides shared language for collaboration and conflict resolution.
This is a free downloadable report by Mark S. Majors, PhD, that explains the significance of psychological assessments in facilitating self-discovery and personal growth. It highlights the critical role of psychometric properties in ensuring assessment effectiveness and emphasizes that these tools aid understanding rather than judge worth.
