Each skill also carries a complexity weight assigned by an expert panel, which is what makes prioritization possible. When two skills have the same gap score, the algorithm surfaces the one with greater behavioral complexity and contribution to performance. The result is a report that does not just reflect how a participant rated themselves. It tells them what to do next.
WHO THIS IS FOR
For Practitioners Who Are Tired of Doing the Prioritization Work Themselves

Your clients understand their EQ. They just do not know what to do about it.

You run leadership programs and the momentum dies between sessions.

You are using the EQ-i 2.0 and doing the prioritization work the tool should be doing.

You need to show that your programs produce more than insight.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Emotional Intelligence Only Changes Things When People Know Where to Start
The EQ Accelerator was built for that moment. When your clients leave with a specific skill to develop, a reason it matters to their role, and concrete actions to practice this week, you are no longer the practitioner who interprets profiles. You are the one whose work produces results that hold.

The four-year research initiative behind the assessment, spanning 193 research threads, 9,000 managers, and 78,000 rater observations, was designed to answer a question practitioners were not getting good answers to: not whether a leader had emotional intelligence, but which specific behaviors were creating the most friction.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Core Factors EQ Accelerator is a self-report tool that offers in-depth insights into 40 emotional intelligence behaviors. It is designed to help individuals and teams improve leadership, interpersonal skills, and overall workplace performance.
The EQ Accelerator is based on decades of emotional intelligence research. Following extensive research, a panel of experts synthesized 193 different research threads into 54 key behavior skills, which were then validated with over 9,000 managers and 78,000 raters to identify the 40 EQ skills that contribute most to effectiveness.
The report presents detailed scores across 40 EQ skills, highlighting gaps between perceived effectiveness and importance. It also offers personalized action tips, making it a practical tool for leadership development and performance improvement.
The EQ Accelerator is designed for leaders and executives, emerging leaders, HR professionals, team managers, customer-facing employees, and change management specialists. It is used by coaches, facilitators, and internal practitioners in leadership development, coaching engagements, and team effectiveness work.
The assessment typically takes 15-20 minutes to complete. Many participants report that the process of rating each skill against behavioral anchors is educational in itself.
The EQ Accelerator measures 40 skills organized into four dimensions: Self-Awareness (understanding your own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors), Self-Regulation (managing reactions and adapting to situations), Social Awareness (perceiving emotions and needs of others), and Relationship Management (building and maintaining positive relationships).
Emotional intelligence is the number one predictor of workplace performance, according to decades of research. Leaders with high EQ coach more effectively, sustain a positive mindset under pressure, and navigate complex social dynamics to elevate performance. Leaders are often hired for technical capabilities but struggle due to behavioral issues rooted in EQ.
The EQ Accelerator can be used with both individuals and teams. It supports individual coaching and development planning as well as team effectiveness work, where shared language around emotional intelligence improves collaboration and reduces conflict.
